Dover man arrested after armed police descend on Folkestone town centre

A man was arrested in Folkestone during an armed police incident.

Officers were called at around 3pm today (November 5) following reports of a man being seen with a weapon at a property in Tontine Street.

A 46-year-old man from Dover has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
