A recent study has revealed the Kent stations where the most crimes are committed.
According to research from the Reach Data Unit, Dartford Station saw the most amount of crime during 2021 compared to any other station in the county.
A total of 143 crimes were reported to British Transport Police (BTP) on or near the station, which includes 32 reports of crimes involving drugs.

This was closely followed by Ashford, which saw a total of 142 crimes committed on or near its station during that period.
The most common type of crimes reported for Ashford Station were ‘violence and sexual offences’.
Across Kent, there were a total of 2,085 crimes reported to BTP during 2021, which saw a decrease compared to the 2,493 reported the year prior.
Among the crimes reported during the last year were 538 violent or sexual offences, 460 public order offences, 433 incidents of criminal damage and arson, 211 drug crimes, 135 bike thefts, and one incident of shoplifting.
