These images show crews battling a house fire in Landon Road, Herne Bay. The incident was first reported around 3.26pm today (April 6) and residents shared pictures of emergency services at the scene.

One woman in her 30s was taken to the hospital as a precaution after being treated for smoke inhalation. When crews arrived they found a smoke-filled house and an upstairs bedroom on fire.

Those living around the local area were asked to close windows and doors due to the amount of smoke being created by the fire but are now able to open them. Four fire engines and a height vehicle are still in attendance, and the fire service have been working to extinguish the flames.
