Puyallup man arrested for reportedly organizing illegal street races

Tacoma Police, as part of a joint investigation with Kent Police, arrested an 18-year-old man in Puyallup for allegedly organizing and facilitating numerous illegal street racing events.

Officers arrested the man Friday, April 22 at a Puyallup residence, according to a Tacoma Police statement. The illegal events occurred throughout King and Pierce counties and in the city of Tacoma.

The man initially will be transferred to King County for charges related to incidents within its jurisdiction and potential charges to be filed by the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The investigation is ongoing for incidents within Pierce County.

No other details were released by Tacoma Police.
