Queen’s Birthday Honours 2022: The Kent people recognised in Queen’s Honours List

The Queen’s Birthday Honours List is here, with a whole host of people up and down the country receiving recognition for their service over the year. Among those, five Kent locals are set to receive a CBE, four will get an OBE, six will receive an MBE while four are in line for a BEM.

Nominations for the honours can either be submitted by government departments or by members of the public. These are then divided into subject areas before being judged by committees made up of senior civil servants and independent experts.

The final list is then drawn up by a selection committee, before it is submitted to the Queen via the Prime Minister. After the list has been approved by Her Majesty, each nominee will be sent a letter.
