Celebrating Our Wonderful Staff Who Help Students Achieve

Students in the background. Kent School District (KSD) serves over 27,000 students and is one of the most diverse school districts in the nation, according to niche.com.

Education is the top priority for any school district, but KSD strives to make sure all students have an equitable learning experience throughout their tenure in the district. And with it being American Education Week, KSD recognizes and honors its educators, paraeducators, administration, and support staff who help make a difference in each students’ life.

Program Specialist Erica Eller said, “Public education is essential and life-changing.” She also added, “public education opens doors for students and enables them to reach their full potential.”

KSD has 42 schools and academies and provides students with the resources and tools to succeed.

“Our mentor academy for first and second year teachers is amazing! KSD is also exceptional compared to surrounding districts with the use of technology and access students have to it on a daily basis.”

Since 2016, KSD has seen an uptick in graduation rates and that is credited to the dedicated men and women who serve this district.

“It means that we are better at meeting students’ needs. KPA and iGrad are examples in which we demonstrate flexibility in programming to meet individual needs.”

Thank you to everyone in the district who help provide a safe and equitable learning environment for our students.
