City of Kent, Police holding crime prevention meeting Thursday, Dec. 2 for businesses

The City of Kent and Kent Police will be holding a crime update/crime prevention meeting for Kent businesses this Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021.

The meeting is targeted at Kent businesses, property owners, managers and employees, and will be held in City Hall Council Chambers from 6 – 8 p.m.

At last week’s Council meeting, several crime concerns were shared by local businesses. The City is convening a meeting and asking all businesses interested in hearing/learning more to attend.

“Our goal is to have as many businesses in attendance as possible,” organizers said.

In attendance will be Mayor Dana Ralph, Chief Rafael Padilla, Neighborhood Response Team Officers, Community Education, as well as Michelle Wilmott and Bill Ellis from the city’s Economic Community Development Department.

“This is very short notice but it’s also a good thing to address business concerns and questions. All businesses, property owners, managers, employees are encouraged to attend.”
