Man charged with murder of missing Kent mum Alexandra Morgan appears in court

A suspect charged with the murder of missing Sissinghurst mum Alexandra Morgan has appeared in court.

Mark Brown, 40, of Squirrel Close, St-Leonards-on-Sea in East Sussex, was charged shortly before midnight last night (November 28).

He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (November 29) where he was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear before Lewes Crown Court tomorrow.

Alexandra was last seen at a petrol station near Cranbrook at 7.20am on Sunday, November 14 and has not been in contact with her family since.

An investigation was launched by officer from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate and Mr Brown was arrested in connection with her disappearance last Thursday.

Enquiries to locate Alexandra’s body are ongoing and searches are being carried out across Hastings and Kent.

A 53-year-old man from Hastings arrested in connection with the case on Friday but was released without charge.
