Man due in court after alleged stabbing at Ashford International station

A man will appear in court later this morning on charges including GBH with intent, after another man was allegedly stabbed at Ashford International station on Tuesday (January 4).

British Transport Police in Kent said they have been “working around the clock” to secure charges of GBH and threatening behaviour with an offensive weapon against the suspect.

The alleged victim was left with wounds to his face caused by a knife.

Kent Police Ashford assisted in the arrest of the suspect, while the other man received medical care in hospital. There’s currently no update on his condition or the severity of his injuries.

BTP Kent confirmed the charges in a Twitter post at 2.30am on Wednesday.
