Music4Life Supporting Students

Kent School District is proud to recognize Music4Life Kent Chapter for supporting students through the donation of musical instruments. Students who may not be able to afford an instrument may have an opportunity to experience music due to the work of this non-profit organization.

Music4Life most recently donated a clarinet, violin, and acoustic guitar to the district. Since September 2020, a total of 66 musical instruments valued at $24,149 have been donated.

The useful life of these instruments is expected to be three to fifteen years which will enable multiple students to receive a musical education and reap the benefits these instruments can provide. Learning music can help students develop confidence, creativity, listening and math skills, and also be a stress reliever.

Music4Life accepts donations of musical instruments that are no longer used. These instruments are then cleaned and repaired if necessary, then donated to a local school district. If you have an instrument that is not being used, please consider donating it to Music4Life. There are several drop-off locations in the Kent area. If you want to contribute financially, donate to provide a musical instrument for a student in need. If music is your passion or helping students interests you, consider joining the Music4Life Kent School District Chapter.

A Music4Life Fundraiser is Sunday, September 19, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at Kent Lutheran Church, 336 2nd Ave. S. Kent, 98032. Attend to learn more about Music4Life, enjoy light refreshments and a concert featuring cellists from the Auburn Symphony.
