Rail disruption after person hit by train at Eden Park station – recap

There was rail disruption on Tuesday (August 2) afternoon after a person was hit by a train. The incident happened at Eden Park station between Lewisham and Hayes and affected services on that line.

The incident took place at 3.15pm. Southeastern Railways said lines had reopened as of 5.20pm, but passengers were warned to “expect delays and changes to services while emergency services respond”.

The incident was first reported at 3.46pm on Southeastern Railways’ Twitter account. Southeastern expected the route to be back to full service by 9pm.
