Our students and staff honored veterans during assemblies and other events last week. Many of our students have friends or family members who are serving or have served in the military and some of our staff members have served in the military. 

Springbrook Elementary School students performed patriotic songs and presented veterans in the audience with roses for their service. Principal Austin-Lloyd sang a beautiful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner. 

Student speakers spoke about the importance of coming together and honoring those who have served as well at what they were fighting for. 

Meeker Middle School students honored notable veterans by sharing their stories during an all-school assembly organized by the Leadership class. 

They told their classmates how important it is to recognize those who have served or are serving and invited those with connections to the military to stand.
