Work starts on Folkestone Harbour Arm’s first Christmas market

Work is underway on Folkestone Harbour Arm’s first ever Christmas market.

Pictures uploaded by the venue show slanted wooden sheds being constructed in the ‘goods yard’ area of the site.

Heras fencing has also been set up ahead of its opening on November 27.

From then onwards it will be open to the public every weekend in the run up to Christmas.

The market will also remain open on December 23 and 24 for some super last minute Christmas cheer.

In a short statement on their Facebook page, Folkestone Harbour Arm added: “Our vision is to create a new Festive Destination for Kent, including a programme of Christmas events including bands, choirs and films.

This is the Folkestone Harbour Arm’s first ever festive market

“Traders in the Goods Yard will also be offering the very best of their food and drink offers with a festive twist.

“This will be a major addition to Folkestone Harbour Arm’s seasonal offering and we can’t wait to get started.”

It will open every weekend from November 27 until Christmas Eve

The Folkestone Harbour Arm is a popular destination set in the beautifully restored Folkestone Harbour Station.
