Donated Supplies Help Students Succeed

Principal Pogson with donations This year has brought many challenges, but thankfully our incredible Kent School District community has been there to help support our students and families every step of the way. In late October, the Iglesia Ne Cristo Church of Christ near Panther Lake Elementary School donated 600 sets of school supplies during their annual Aid to Humanity event.

During the event, which was broadcast to 158 countries, Panther Lake Principal Pamela Pogson and Kent Mayor Dana Ralph accepted the donation and thanked the community for their generous support. Pogson and Mayor Ralph at event

“I am so honored that they chose to serve our families,” Principal Pogson said. “Many of our families have been asking for support in this area and it warms my heart that I will be able to fulfill all of their requests. We are lucky to have such a caring community.”
