Receive Food Assistance Through P-EBT 

Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) is a new emergency program for ALL children in grades K-12 in Washington who receive free or reduced-price school meals. P-EBT is not subject to public charge and will not affect your immigration status. P-EBT provides families with funds to pay the cost of meals while schools are closed due to COVID-19.

basket of groceries These benefits will be on an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card which is used like a debit card to buy groceries.  

You do not need to apply if your family receives Basic Food through DSHS and your children receive free or reduced-price school meals.  

You will automatically receive these one-time benefits on your EBT card.  

You need to apply if your children are eligible for free or reduced-price school meals but do not receive Basic Food benefits.   

If your family does not receive free and reduced-price meals, you must apply for P-EBT if you want to receive the funds. 

The applications will be accepted through September 11, 2020. There are two ways to apply:
